In 2020, Epic designed a paved roadside trail and provided striping design for a newly widened, 3/4-mile section of Woodland Hills Drive in Salem, Utah. The roadway runs by an elementary school and includes multiple intersections. Our civil engineers provided stormwater design for the road and trail, incorporating StormBrixx for stormwater detention and infiltration. Our survey team and traffic engineers provided striping design for the pavement overlay. Striping challenges included transitions from 4-lane roadway to 2-lane roadway as well as speed-reducing measures for school traffic. The project was completed in time for the opening of the new school year.
