Epic Engineering’s Civil and MEP Engineering teams upgraded an existing water treatment plant to a fully automated membrane water treatment plant for Draper Irrigation Company, in Sandy, Utah. The water treatment plant consisted of compressors, actuators, valves, piping, instrumentation, and all the controls. The automated water treatment plant was designed and constructed to be capable of performing flushing, backwashing, and chemical cleaning, as well as returning to full operation. All valves were pneumatic butterfly or ball valves ranging from 1/2 inch to 24 inches.
