Have you benefited from civil engineering today?
If you woke up in a house or some other structure in a town or a city (or even the country), the answer is yes.
If you used a road or sidewalk to get from one place to another, the answer is yes.
If you turned on the light, took a drink of water from a faucet, or flushed a toilet, the answer is yes.
If you’re reading this on some sort of electronic device (which is really the only way you could read it, unless you printed it … from some other electronic device), the answer is yes.
All of us benefit from the work of civil engineers, pretty much from the moment we’re born to the moment we die.
The American Society of Civil Engineers puts it nicely: "Civil engineers design, build, and maintain the foundation for our modern society – our roads and bridges, drinking water and energy systems, sea ports and airports, and the infrastructure for a cleaner environment."
They are often the unsung heroes of the engineering world because so much of what they do goes unseen. But without them, none of the visible stuff would be possible, and our daily lives would be very different.
We at Epic are proud to contribute to the foundation. We’ve been providing civil engineering services since our founding in 1997 and continue to offer a variety of services under the civil umbrella: structural engineering, MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) design, geotechnical engineering, environmental engineering, land survey, and others.
So if you’re in the business of building and have a problem to solve or a dream to design, you’re likely going to need a civil engineer. Let us know your needs, and we’ll help you get there.
